Finallyyy sharing the details for this dress. Got quite a few dms asking about this one. Thank you for appreciating the look ❤ Also I've been reallyyy lazy about updating on the blog so apologies to all those who kept asking and I kept saying "will do it soon" 🤦♀️😅 Achaa tou guys I had no clue what I wanted for the barat. I had this two piece white mukaish and embroidered suit that I reallyyy liked. So I decided to give a try and do something creative with it.
First I chose the look I wanted to create. The shirt had a long length and I could not keep it short because it had kaam till the end and the sequence of the shirt would have been destroyed if I had tried cutting it from the ghera. So I chose to wear a long shirt with a sharaara, as long shirts are quite in again. Then I chose the colors I wanted to try. I've always loved pastels and soft colors with mukaish. I feel dark colors make it a bit too much. So icey blue and powder pink it was!
Next thing I did was look for ideas to make the dress a bit heavier. After some brainstorming, I decided to get some pearls ka kaam done on the shirt and dupatta. Pearls go so well with pastels and silver. I think it was a great decision. The shirt was already filled with mukaish so I got the pearl work done here and there, mostly on the gala and ghera of the shirt.
After the kaam, I still felt like I needed to add some more. So I added pearls all over the bordered of the shirt and duppata. Then I added a heavy lace on the dupatta. I love how even laces are so pretty these days that they give a very rich look to your outfit.
I completed my look with a silver choker I got from liberty market and some pearls and chooriyan. Wanted to keep the whole look light yet elegant.
Soooo that's about it! This was a simple mukaish suit so I guess this answers the "dress kahan say liya" question 😆
Other than this, my makeup was from @aminazsalon I wanted the #hairstyling and the #makeup to be really soft and thankfully the girls actually listened. ❤
