As much as it pains my heart to post this, knowing what day it is today, I feel the need to get it off my chest before I retire to bed. Life is often unpredictable, you could lose a parent or a spouse or a child in the most unexpected moment. It's the aftermath that is the hardest, the grieving period that will send you into constant denial, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance.
Episode 217 of #kinch5 saw the demise of a major character, when Deanna passed away peacefully in her sleep due to a brain haemorrhage. Episode 218 dealt with the grieving stages. Adina and Zaryf are understandably upset with the loss of their friend. Zaryf seems to be taking it too hard on himself cos he was planning to meet up with Dee and apologize to her in person. Nina is greatly affected by the sudden passing of her mummy, and even goes to blame Ananya for indirectly causing her death. Mathilda consoles her granddaughter that everyone is feeling equally sad and upset, and Kenneth assures Nina that she's gonna be okay.
Ananya confides in James about the death of her best friend Deanna, and Emily comforts her. Ananya later shares with James and Emily about how Dee stood by her when she lost her mother at a young age, and that the so-called wedding with Kenneth was never even on. That made Emily extremely worried that James might attempt to reconnect with Ananya... 😳😥
Later on Ananya encourages Kenneth to remain strong for his mother, his children and for her. And to take it an hour at a time.
The part where Ananya breaks down in tears in the office also made me 😢😢 mostly due to a major coincidence: on #carladunareanu birthday and just hours before #ebishankara birthday this year, a young guy succumbed to his injuries after fighting for his life for 4 days. And today is indeed his birthday...
Once again thank you #gayathri for your memorable performance as Deanna Bala. The show may not be the same without you, but we will continue to watch the show and support it.
