@weddingwire #justsaidyes Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 started like any other day “at sea” but little did I know that later that night my boyfriend would become my fiancé! The day before, he had persuaded me that we should have another photo-shoot done because last year he could not wear his black suit. After I was convinced we needed the photo-shoot simply because he wanted some professional pictures around the ship in his black suit, he went down to the counter and scheduled the photo-shoot for 4:30 the next day. That morning we woke up, had something small to eat, looked at professional pictures from the night before, and then took a nice walk around the ship. We then headed back to our room to shower and get ready for our photo-shoot. After Rob was all ready and looked handsome in his suit and tie he told me “I’m going to head down early, I’ll see you soon, beautiful” and then gave me a kiss and left. Once I was finished getting ready, I proceeded down the elevator with my mom and mom-mom. When we got to the DreamWorks Studio the rest of my family was sitting and waiting for me. (I honestly didn’t think much of it because after our photo-shoot we were all headed to dinner.) The photographer then led the way to a couple locations on the ship that made the perfect backgrounds. The last stop of our photo-shoot was on deck 10 by the beautiful, blue water. The photographer continued to take more photos and then Rob said, “Lauren Ashely Adamek-Dean.” At that moment I knew what he was doing and was in shock. As I held back tears he proceeded to give a little speech and then popped the question, “Will you marry me?” Of course, I said, “Yes!” After he proposed, my entire family congratulated us, gave us numerous hugs and then the photographer took a great picture of us with the entire family. After the proposal he even gave me a beautiful, red, forever rose and engagement props to have more professional photos taken! I’m sure my family would agree that the photo-shoot was a lovely way to lead up to the proposal.
At dinner that night, Rob ordered a sparkling wine for everyone to share to celebrate our engagement! #therestofthestoryisinthecomments
