So I’ve decided to share some tips I’ve learned in my full-time job in sales which will translate over to all of you who follow me as bloggers in being successful in the blogging arena as well 😉 ✨CATCHING A PROSPECT / BRAND’S ATTENTION✨
Every successful sale is made because you have a relationship. So you want to start your relationship with your potential prospect / brand on the RIGHT foot. You don’t want your first interaction with them to be “Hi, my name is Grace, do you want to buy this from me?” Imagine how you feel when you get a call like this from telemarketers, your knee-jerk reaction is going to be hang up in disgust and if you see their name / phone again you probably won’t even give them another chance.
I realized this after getting hung up on several times.. so I decided to take a different approach ✨✨✨✨ HERE’S THE SECRET SAUCE that has brought me 90%+ success and reply rates with my prospects AND the brands I contact.
COMPLIMENT THEM. Find your contact, search for something they are doing that catches your eye. Did they launch a really cool new product? Are they helping out in the community? Do you see their business booming? You get the point.
And then send them a succinct email- make the subject line simple such as “Just Wanted to Compliment You” and in the email let them know who you are and that you admire the work they are doing, state your compliment, and say NOTHING MORE.
