Posting what you want will not bring you clients. A big mistake I see entrepreneurs make when using social media to market themselves is that they post what they THINK they’re audience wants to hear. They don’t think about what their audience actually needs. They’re posting from their perspective- which only attracts others like them and not their ideal clients. This mindset also keeps you on the hamster wheel of creating content over and over that really isn’t getting you in front of the people you need to be in front of. One big key to success and gaining clients from social media is remembering to take a step back. Keep in mind that it’s NOT about you anymore. It’s 100% about your potential client and what they need and want to see from you both online and when they work with you. . If you keep ignoring your ideal clients you’ll continue to post without seeing any return, which means no growth for your business- or your bank account. . This weekend was simply the best (minus losing my voice entirely). We drove to Canada for a very overdue visit to hang with Chloe, Marshall and their Newfie, Griffin! _ We ate Canadian bacon, beaver tails & visited their cottage on Lac Heney in Quebec to take photos, play darts and board games! ❄️ - Chlo told me about this stretch of forest leading up to the cottage we could use as a backdrop. And guys, it did nottttt disappoint. The snow was an added bonus😍🌲

Double post kind of day. I just stumbled upon this image while I finished up the Parè Wedding! (That’s right, it’s finished and uploading and you will have it tomorrow Mr. & Mrs. Parè!! YAY!☺️) I know... I say it all the time but I am so damn thankful for this little hobby of mine that became my career. It gets busy and overwhelming but at the end of the day... it’s my own. My own little journey wrapped up in your memories that has evolved over time. I’m going to get off track for a second but bare with me because it will circle back. I wouldn’t say I was super popular growing up but I wouldn’t say I was super forgettable either. I have always liked people and for the most part am able to get along with a wide variety of them. (Probably why I became a wedding photographer. You meet a WIDE variety of people. — I mean think of your wildest wedding guest... well I’ve met them all. Ha!) This is where it gets honest. I have been blessed to photograph the wedding of friends, friends of friends, best friends, strangers that become friends and old friends that I probably would have never seen again... I know that, and that’s OK! That’s life but I can’t help but feel so Thankful to I have had a front row seat, a backstage pass to so many AMAZINGLY beautiful moments that I would have never been able to see if stopping a moment in time was not my passion and my first true love. It brings tears to my eyes. Each and everyone one of you that have granted me access into your lives and the special memories that you have so graciously and trustfully allowed me to capture... YOU will always have a special place in my heart. I have one wedding left for 2019 but I couldn’t wait to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for an incredible year. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 LOVE YOU ALL.
