Here are some pics of things I’ve sold and things I need to get listed. (Sorry one of the photos is cut off.) And I included a photo of an old church near Strasburg, Va, where I used to live from 1988 - 1992. We were in this area a few months ago and drove by there. I love to explore old buildings, but it’s always so sad to see these historic buildings just left to rot:
The Pentax P3 is an old film camera that I got at a church rummage sale for almost nothing & just sold on EBay for $35 + shipping. SOLD BUT LOST MONEY: The ceramic acorn soup bowls are Williams Sonoma that I didn’t make anything on because I risked an auction and only had 1 or 2 bidders. They sold for $5.50 + $13+ in shipping! (ceramic is heavy + you have to wrap it well to prevent breakage.) $5.50 is way below what they should have sold for online & even at a flea market. I almost always lose out when I think I might do ok with bids. I’m doing auctions less & less. For low cost items that may sell under $10- $15 I plan to sell at a flea market. My note to self & others: Do not use an auction unless you are certain something is a hot seller. Best bet is to use BUY IT NOW and take offers.
