Whole Wheat Pasta With Lemon Kale Chicken 🍗 Full recipe below, send it to a friend who’d love this!⁣ By: Marie Telling, Tasty Ingredients (for 2 servings) 4 oz whole wheat spaghetti (115 g) 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 cups curly kale (135 g), chopped, ribs removed 1 lemon lemon zest 1 tablespoon lemon juice kosher salt, to taste ground black pepper, to taste Preparation Boil salted water and cook the pasta for 1 minute less than the time indicated on the package. When the pasta is finished cooking, reserve ¼ cup (60 ml) of pasta water. Meanwhile, heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a cast-iron skillet. Season cubed chicken with salt and pepper, add it to the skillet, and brown it on each side. Once cooked through — about 2 to 4 minutes — remove from skillet and reserve. Heat remaining three tablespoons of olive oil in skillet and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minutes. Add kale, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and reserved pasta water. Cook until kale is tender, about 3 minutes. Add cooked chicken, and pasta. Stir to coat, and serve immediately. I baked more black bean #falafels I've tried them at a couple different places and they tasted greasy, so I'm trying to come up with my recipe. I'm also sensitive to chick peas. However I love #blackbeans these tasted really good but fell apart or should I say crumbled, Lol Still I enjoyed them, no waste! I'd like to share my recipe once I perfect it. I'll def be trying again because they are a great staple for vegan meals, which I've been super into lately esp after talking with my GYN. I was incorporating "vegan meal days" into my week to give my digestive system a break. Then, at my yearly appointment, since I'm BRCA 1 Positive, my super awesome doc told me the latest about how to eat to keep those psycho, cancer genes turned off! The vegan diet! Yay me, I already had my woman's intuition working for me! Pretty stinkin exciting. I wanted to take my doc out and celebrate. Esp cause dieting is an acquired habit that can take time and patience with one's self and I'd already mastered eating vegan for a full days time. I enjoy seeing vegan recipes here on Instagram too. I'm saving them and gonna try cooking a few when my sched calms down. In and outside the cage. * 8months ago, a great man named @willowontour David Wilson, our resident Golf Professional @_totalmovement introduces my to a gentlemen by the name of Phil Luke. Phil is based in China and runs an Acadamy for up and coming Golfers. Phil introduces me to Dia Jing Wen (now winning tournaments in Canada) and little Angela (scholarship in states). These girls were in Perth for just over 3 weeks and trained and played golf daily, honing their techniques and learning new skills with our Movement Therapy I use within @_totalmovement . * You probably couldn’t pick two sports or individuals with more polar opposites in their movement requirements - but they all start the same way when they come to see me. Through inspection of any movement we find instability and or mobility issues or I like say “opportunities” for improvement. We further break it down with incorporating more precise activation, then practise those movements precisely before strengthening. * So my life has become a journey of Inspection, understanding, implementing change, creating new habits and becoming stronger. Pine Pasta • . . . Say what? Yes, pine pasta. I’ve been eyeing the Christmas tree in our house for a few weeks now. 😂 I decided to give it a try and add 2-3 teaspoons of ground up needles and zest from 1 lemon to a standard pasta recipe. It was surprisingly delicious! Pine is also a stimulating expectorant and diaphoretic, making it absolutely necessity during the winter months when cold and flu symptoms arise.
