Yes yes yes. ALSO, the internal pressure to be “fixed” by self-care “hacks”, and the guilt & sense of failure if/when meditation apps, bubble baths and expensive fitness classes don’t do the trick can be dangerous to already overwhelmed parents. BY ALL MEANS engage in whatever forms of self-care feel natural to you, but don’t feel the pressure to do so; it is not a panacea to the stresses associated with parenthood.
