So Wednesday, I left with a couple colleagues and went to South Carolina to “work”. I put that in “” because I’ve been told that when you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.
For a little over two years now, I’ve been a retail distributor for one of the largest fashion companies in the country. For me though, I do a lot more than sell clothes. To me, my job is empowering women to believe in themselves and have the confidence they need to achieve their goals and dreams. The Lord knew just exactly what I needed that’s for sure.
Have you lost your ability to dream? Are you tired of the day to day? I was tired of not being able to have choices.
So, I’m asking you, do you want the chance to have a choice?
Do you need to be able to dream again?
Reach out to me. Please. “When we are too afraid to ask, we are rejecting ourselves by default and missing out on an opportunity as a result”
This is what my day at “work” looked like yesterday.
I was surrounded by like minded people who believe in me and it was awesome. I worked next to 75 other people to raise money for foster and kinship families in the Carolinas. I spent 7 hours in a car with two of my closest friends sharing ideas and fears and plans. I met a new friend who opened her home to us and let us raid her awesome inventory. I sat across from several of my other closest friends making faces and laughing and encouraging as we heard words that we knew we each needed to hear because we share in this thing together. I text my friend who couldn’t be with us because I missed her. I sat next to some ladies I really admire and look up to and shed tears with them as I reflected on some hard truths.
But in the end, I was reminded that this opportunity is for everyone. This opportunity is amazing. This opportunity has changed my life. Maybe it would yours too. You don’t know if you don’t ask.
