This quote hit me like a tone of bricks.
For those who have been following along at home know that we had our son via IUI, you also know I had an emergency C-Section. My C-section scar and stretch marks are still taking time to get used to 6 months since Thomas’s birth.
I also know how blessed and grateful I am to be able to have him. Even though the journey was definitely a roller coaster ride, I am very thankful for it all.
It reminds me that you never know the journey people take to become parents. Financially, mentally or physically what they have to go through. The fight they battle with.
The people who want to become parents, but it isn’t something that is happening for them right now. It’s hard and emotional.
We all have our own journey and struggles, another reason why we should support everyone’s individual journeys and their decisions.
It doesn’t matter if people are parents or not, how they became parents, the marks they have on their bodies from the birth or what they call a family.
At the end of the day we’re all human beings just doing what we think is best for our own lives and the lives of those we love.
Next time you look down at the marks on your body remember how blessed you are, someone else is wishing and dreaming to be you!
If you are dreaming about having a baby and it isn’t something that is happening right now, know that you have a tribe of support behind you. Especially from me, your personally cheerleader and support woman.
