NIGHT TERRORS! 😩
I must admit, night terrors are getting the best of me!
For the last week or so, Ophelia has been crying hysterically in her sleep, I wake up to give her a dummy but she still has hers in her mouth, just crying out, could it be from teething? Could it be she needs reassurance I’m still there and needs a cuddle? I’m not sure, but it’s definitely a routine now. Ophelia cries maybe 4-5 times a night.
This is what I have to do to settle Ophelia, I’ll have to stand holding her hand for 10 minutes until she’s fully back to sleep.
Last night I slept at the end of my bed arm through her cot cuddling her until my arm was slowly dying ( now I know why men complain so much about spooning!) But I’ve also noticed, Ophelia reflects on all my emotions and feelings, so instead of getting frustrated from exhaustion, I give off positive vibes, because it’s not Ophelia’s fault, and I’ve learned that what ever I feel has an effect on Ophelia!
So here’s to this new tired, lack of sleep, night terror stage, let’s hope it passes soon!
