Today I managed to get 6 miles in on a rather warmish and muggy day here in San Antonio. No matter the weather, I am grateful to be able to run now with relatively little discomfort (other than the normal discomfort running causes!)...no IT band pain today and knee still acting strange but no pain! Tried to take a celebratory post run selfie with my dog Toby..he wasn't cooperating. LOL It's become a fun thing to do for me so that way I have something cute in my photos. :-) This is Week 4 of marathon training for the Tokyo Marathon 2020 Charity event, which will take place on March 1, 2020. I am running the Tokyo Marathon 2020 Charity with Team World Vision to raise money for clean water projects in Africa, and also working to connect children with sponsors through the World Vision Child Sponsorship Program. So far, our team of 25 US Team World Vision runners has raised over $75,000 and found sponsors for 37 children. Our team goal is $500,000 and 500 children sponsored, so we have some work to do! I also want to invite you along on this journey. If a world where children didn't have to walk miles each day to fetch dirty water sounds good to you, please know we can make this happen! Today, World Vision brings clean water to one new person every 10 seconds and by doing so also equips communities with sanitation and hygiene programs. Clean water is LIFE CHANGING! Early morning, hotel room sweat sessions are pure GOLD! ✨ THE WORKOUT: BBG 2.0 personal challenge ✨ THE DEETS: Normally when I tackle this workout, I speed through for time. #sunriserun A beautiful #humpday run. I managed one of my best times ever which is good because I got suckered into running a turkey 🦃 trot. 🏃🏽‍♀️ Then home for #totalbodybadass from the #morningmeltdown100 series. This one was challenging but good! ✨ Today I listened to a #podcast about appreciating things. When we appreciate things, it helps add value to them. Things with value are precious to us. So are people. ✨ So we have to realize that God gave us all of these and we also need to appreciate and value Him. ✨ Giving praise and gratitude to those we value returns to us in multiplicity.
