Raise a 🙋🏼‍♀️ if grocery shopping is the last thing on your to do list. ⠀ ⠀ When I used to go into a grocery store with no plan, I would spend far too much of my time and my money at the store when I didn’t need to. ⠀ ⠀ Here’s what I do now:⠀ ⠀ 1. On a piece a paper, space out enough room for each day of the week until you go shopping next.⠀ 2. Write down your meals.⠀ 3. Then, on the back of that paper, break down your meals into sections of the grocery store (produce, meats, aisles, dairy). ⠀ 4. Write all the ingredients you need. Don’t forget to check your pantry before you leave to see if you already have ingredient s! (guilty as charged 🤷🏼‍♀️)⠀ ⠀ This is the strategy I use every week to help me map out my grocery list. She came in months ago and said I’m coming! Life had a few obstacles and she was able to move her son closer so in November she came over again and said December I’m coming !! For my health !! I’m coming Tonota !! I said ok I’ll see you Dec 2 first Monday in December. She said deal !! December 2 here she was !! She worked out that day 110% and 3 more times since just last Monday ! Drinks 2 shakes a day most days and a Tonota Bomb ! Her goal was to lose 5 pounds a month and she would be happy !! Well I’m more than happy to report she’s down 4 pounds in just one week and is killing her workouts !! 55 years young !! Comfort zones I am totally one who likes routine, who likes planned vacations, dinner reservations, eating dinner at the same time, and for sure an early bedtime every single night. I thrive from routine, who doesn’t? I’m a person who likes to park in the same spot when going to the grocery store and who arrives 15 minutes early to drop off and pick up because heavens forbid I could never be late. I like structure. I’m not that spontaneous. I guess you could definitely say I do not like being outside of my comfort zone. It’s difficult. Who likes to be uncomfortable? Being uncomfortable means vulnerability. It means pushing ourself into a world that we do not like to be in. Because...what if we mess up? What if someone sees us? What if someone judges? What if we don’t live up to the perfectionist image of ourself? There are so many what ifs. Here’s a question though, what if we succeed? What if being pushed motivates us for more? What if we continue to strive towards a goal that is attainable? What if the scary part goes away and what we want becomes easier? What if that negative voice inside your head finally shuts up and turns into a positive reinforcement voice? Here’s to pushing oneself. Dig deep & find your courage, your strength. To being uncomfortable which is only temporary.
