She is a Healer. The one who knows the powers concentrated in herbs, hence the herb bottle, dried alder seed cones and rose buds. Mortar and pestle is the symbol of her craft, and also her favorite tool of magick. On her left hand hangs a little metal triquetra - the symbol that embodies her worldview: everything is connected and interconnected. Triquetra or Trinity knot is an ancient sign that in paganism is the symbol of Maiden, Mother and Crone. Christianity has assigned to this symbol another trinity - Fater, Son and Holy Spirit. In Modern times this symbol has got also other meanings assigned to it: it represents past, present and future, uninterrupted life cycle, mother, father and child or unity of mind, body and spirit. I asked the Healer which of these is the meaning of the triquetra she keeps. Is that a pagan or christian symbol for her? Or maybe it carries any of meanings new age spirituality has assigned to it? Which one is her triquetra? She said: "All of them. All trinities. It's about unity and that's what matters."
