I’ve recently been trying to hone in (no clue if that’s even the correct way to say or spell that it LOL) on leading and working in my strengths and not falling into the comparison trap of thinking I have to be like other leaders. For example, my friend Ashley Kintzel is an absolutely phenomenal leader whom I respect with every fiber of my being and, as pastor’s wives we have a lot in common, but we are also very different. It is not possible for me to be her and I don’t need to try. I believe we’ve all been gifted with our own personalities and experiences and an amazing toolbox from God. Ephesians 2:10 says: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” I’m not going to include it all here, but I would love for you to go read 1 Corinthians 12 to hear the Apostle Paul elegantly explain how we are all different yet make up a beautiful body together. God made us each unique and valuable and it’s honestly been really exciting and freeing to focus on how lead as Aubri with Aubri’s skills and not the Aubri trying to lead like Ashley or Brook or Emily or _______ (fill in the blank). I’m going to be sharing more with you about what I’ve discovered in the coming weeks and month. In fact, I’m in a special training program right now to learn more about who I am and help others discover who they are. But for today, just want to hear from you...what makes you special??? What are your skills and strengths and passions?
